TMS Recovery Programme

The main requirements to recovering from TMS are;

  1. Learn and understand how and why you have pain, see the Products page for the TMS Recovery DVD and CD.
  2. Review the information until you fully accept it unconsciously in order to help break any habitual patterns
  3. Acknowledge any traumas/emotions you have bottled up e.g by journaling

N.B. Subscribe to TMS Recovery and receive Georgie’s ’25 Top Tips for Successful Journaling’

Some lucky people may be able to recover just by following the above recommendations. However, many people who do attend for a TMS assessment have already been working on their own, sometimes for months, but have found they need the extra support and advice from a TMS Specialist such as Georgie and the extra techniques included in the structured programme she has developed.

The programme has been developed specifically for people with TMS and an initial assessment for a diagnosis is essential in order for Georgie to be able to individually tailor the programme for you.

The TMS Recovery Programme (soon to be renamed the SIRPA Treatment Programme)is based around the basic TMS advice, but now provides many more techniques to help those people who need more help. It is a structured programme following the TMS Recovery workbook which has been recently updated and now includes all the tips and techniques that have so far helped dozens of patients recover with Georgie’s support.

Following an initial consultation the programme is often undertaken at a distance with the follow up support being via telephone or Skype calls if necessary, plus email. The programme also includes monthly lectures via webinar and TMS Discussion Groups (this group is open to all. Future online groups are also in the pipeline for those who are unable to attend the group in Huddersfield.

For more information that may help you in your recovery from TMS, follow this link to a website developed by Andrew, a patient who successfully completed the TMS Recovery Pogramme at the end of 2009. Andrew developed this very informative website in order to provide another online resource to help others with TMS. You can also read the diary he made of his own recovery by clicking here.
